Bone broth is an ancient food which has been used to nourish and heal our bodies. It is loaded with collagen and nutrients which are easily absorbed by our gut. It is gentle on the stomach and helps repair gut lining, as well as helping promote our immune system. It is also an anti-inflammatory food.
We cook our bone broth with care, patience and love. There is no short cut to creating the best tasting and most nutritious broth. We only use organic and carefully sourced carcasses, as well as parts of the animal which provides the most collagen. We ensure that we source our bones from places that use the whole animal, thus being conscious of sustainable farming and husbandry.
We use organic vegetables in the broth, ensuring prebiotics and postbiotics are included, and my Turmeric Mixture is also added. The reason for this is that the fat from the broth is a great vehicle to get the most absorption of curcumin, so that the anti-inflammatory properties of the turmeric are better received.
We also add apple cider vinegar with mother (friendly bacteria, enzymes and protein strands) to maximise the nutrients and collagen coming from the bones. Finally, we use filtered water to maintain our belief of providing the purest product for our customers.
Our bone broth is cooked on a very low heat for 24-48 hours, depending on the bones used.
